      Diagnosed about 5 years ago, originally was diagnosed as drug induced lupus which developed into SLE, very rare for this to occur.

      Treatments

      Azathioprine Working / Worked
      On this for nearly 2 years and still working well
      Plaquenil Somewhat Helpful
      This was helpful for a short time but had some bad side effects
      Prednisone Working / Worked
      still taking this, down to 2.5mg now, on this since diagnosed and the only thing that keeps the flares at bay

      My story is a bit strange, I guess like all, I have contacted both sides bmom and bdad, mom didnt want to know and dad were currently working on it. he never knew i existed, all very strange, very stressful and feeling very low and emotional
