I saw my nuro dr. Monday and had a nice talk and he sent me for some lab work which was ok to him but when they called me back the nurse talked so fast I could not begin to take it in. I have two more appts. this month one with the nuro surgeon and the other with the uroligst. Fun fun I just love to visit drs. I have the flea market this w/e in Dublin Va. I have to be there at 8 am Friday to set up heaven help us if if it rains that will be a mess and a half. This one is outside. I only hope I can make it without any problems. I hope everyone has a great weekand a better w/e.
dear michaelle i know what you mean about them talking to fast, I have found that i now am more prepared, first i say please talk a litte slower and put it in a lanuge i can understand that would be english and smaller words please. i find they usely do if they dont i ask for someone that can. its not that im being hard to get along with its that i want to know whats happing to me. ive also found that if you dont have your med records a copy you need to get them because drs and hospital are now distroying after 7 yrs. hope this finds you well lots of hugs and smiles linda

I hate when the medical people talk too fast. I bring my adult daughter with me to my appts because she is cute, the doc likes her, and she knows lots of medical terms and can explain or clarify so it's a good thing, as Mary Stewart, LOL. Have a good weekend, don't work too hard on the Flea Market! *M

I am so with you on the talking too fast thing! I have to have my husband with me for everything I do that is important to understand and to remember, poor guy...
I have not had the energy to write on this site much since my eyes hurt, but I have been reading about 1 time per week. Sorry you had a hard time with Dr.'s and your health. Since you are a nurse I was wondering do you know what section of the brain your lesions are in? My biggest is in the pons section of the brain. My Dr. hasn't said but I think it is totally corrilated with my worst symptoms. From what I have read that is where all input enters the brain and dispurses. Also it is where the respitory area is. My most annoying symtoms are when I feel like "someone is pulling the plug" on my thinking, talking, breathing and energy level. I guess I just worry that because of the placement of the lesion, I will never get rid of these symptoms. If you know or anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate any knowledge. Take care!
