Anyone out there dealing with Neuropathy - Nerve Damage - Nerve Pain??? I have Peroneal Neuropathy and have developed Footdrop from it last Jan. I cannot deal with the Footdrop...basically my dorsiflexion does not work...I cannot flex my foot up so it just hangs. It is extremely frustrating. Anyone out there have footdrop...let me know? Any suggestions? Thanks Prayer Warriors if you are praying bcuz I truly need it. Peace and Blessings

Sorry to hear about your neuropathy...have had some random nerve probs myself (still trying to rule our MS or some kinda connective tissue thing??) Also have bouts of trigeminal neuralgia.....not fun
Anyway--as to your foot drop --have they given you any kind of brace?
My father was a Doctor (Old countrystyle general practice type years ago) I remeber working for him and this patient had a footdrop (she was about 19--very selfconscious). Albeit this was the 1970's--but he 'engineered' a brace type thing that she took the plan into a shoe repair place and had put in her shoe. The style of the time involved a
lace up short above ankle boot (think we called 'em granny boots')It did not make the boot look significantly different--and tho she still did not have a totally 'normal' gait--it was much improved. Wish I remembered what he made--but maybe you could talk with a occupational therapist or something and come up with something? Don't give up--there are a lot of great people here and hopefully you can find someone with a good idea to help! Hugs and prayers!
