Hello my friends! No,I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. lol Just lots and lots going on,not enough time to get everything done,so sorry for the lack of participation. We went to a nurogolist last week because of hubby's brain bleeds. In the emergency room they kept asking if he had an injury to his head(which he had not). That is the most common cause for brain bleeds. Even in the nurosurgery ICU,they kept asking the same question, how did he injure his head...duhh,same answer,no injury. After researching on the net,...GUESS WHAT????? At the bottom of the list for causes for brain bleeds....was LIVER DISEASE!!!!!!!! Yep..liver disease is listed as a cause for brain bleeds. At the nurologist's office, the same question, how did he injure his head,I told the doctor that liver disease was listed as a cause for brain bleeds and that hubby has cirrhosis of the liver. The light came on in his head and he said"Yes!! the damage from cirrhosis can cause spontanious brain bleeds."---case solved. Now he tells us that hubby cannot take Tramadol any longer because Tramadol can cause seizures!!!! Great, now what does he take for pain? Of course he said tylenol. I'm thinking,wrong.. try again,he said vicoden also...wrong again. The doctor gave hubby a script for anticonvulsion and a script for vicoden. I thought about asking for a script for a straight jacket for myself but didn't. Hubby is struggling with his mind not being sharp as it was. He thought his mother died 5 years ago(it has been 14 years since she passed). I also see other things that he is confused about. So we are struggling with the damage the bleeds has caused. So apparently bleeds are a problem in this area of the body too from cirrhosis. (the seizures terrify hubby) He has had 2 full seizures and another time one started and stopped. Also last month my grandaughter was diagonosied with Treacher Collins Syndrome,..she is 12 and it is a genitic disorder which will cause her to undergo some hard surgeries and other problems. Plus at work they have cut our cleaning staff which means that we have much more areas to clean in the same amount of time,it's exhausting, jobs are being threatened, pressure is on and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.(I am the oldest one in our department). The physical load is killing the young ones and I am wipped out at the end of the work day and still tired the next day. I'm too young to retire and too old to change jobs at this point in life. Just have to tuff it out but this is why I am not on site as much as before. This economy is literally taking its toll on tons of workers and our personal lives suffer..bla bla bla so goes life. Again,I will say I will really try to check in more often,so please forgive me for not being there for the new ones on site looking for info. and support as often. But know that all of you are on my mind daily and also in my prayers. I am saddened to see we have had members that have lost loved ones. I am rejoicing to see others getting transplants and improving. All in all,it leads to the fact that life is precious and that priorities need to be readjusted to that fact. Hope to keep in touch more often. Thank you and love and prayers to you all.

Last week my youngest grandaughter was diagonoised with "Treacher Collins Syndrome". It is a generic disorder. She is 12 years old. I've got a lot of reasearch to do on the web. Also,if you will, remember her in prayer also. Thank you my prayer partners.

My 12 yr old is going blind (as is my 16 yr old son). I think it is a little tougher on girls to have health issues. As young women their thoughts run very deep. One thing that weighs on my daughter is that she does notwant to be known "as the blind girl". She doesn't want that to define who she is. I will pray for your granddaughter. Keep reinforcing to her how wonderful she is and how much you are there for her not because of her illness but just because she is such a great kid. Even if she doesn't show it your words will mean a lot to her.

Thanks Debs for letting us know what is happening with you. I'm truly sorry you are having such a tough time right now. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that you have so many friends here and as friends we care for you and your husband and will always lend an ear and some sympathy. God knows, for most of us that is all we have left!! :-)
Keep on posting Debs, you have wisdom beyond your years and your thoughts and advice have been sorely missed. Craig
