    • Close Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)

      Diagnosed 10/2006 - thought I had flu; ER thought I had West Nile; have had terrible time with drugs - they all work for CML but I have had every side effect listed for every drug I have taken. Became immunocompromised so started taking gamma treatments and they gave me spinal meningitis - have had meningitis 7 times in past 8 months - stopped gamma; started Sprycel - it gave me meningitis too. currently taking Tasigna (approved in Oct 2007) but taking 1/4 dose of normal adult b/c side effects
