    • About Me

Just looking forward to meeting others going through similar challenges in their lives. I was diagnosed with MS in '05. A mother of two...my main focus in life! Ups and downs like a roller coaster and not quite certain what I'd do without them!

Many interests. Appreciate most of all doing anything with plants and flowers, watching them thrive is so rewarding! I have four children, two at home, two grown and gone. I'm a fine cook and find myself in the kitchen playing around with recipes...making my own. Love walking down at the beach not too far from here, searching for sanddollars and shells and all sorts of wonderful little finds. Reading is another passion of mine. My bookshelves have noooo more room. Can't part with them. Cuddling with my cat, cuddling with my kids. It's all good!

Three > times, even The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes. > > > Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she > slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with > the big red Indian Chief sign above the door. > > She waited patiently for > the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment. > Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat > with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good Finally she took a > quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it! > > > 'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of > voice. I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he > said without waiting for a reply to his question.. > > 'Well, I want to talk > to you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's > really, really sick...and I want to buy a miracle.' > > 'I beg your pardon?' > said the pharmacist. > > 'His name is Andrew and he has something bad > growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now So how > much does a miracle cost?' > > 'We don't sell miracles here, little girl. > I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little. > > > 'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a > miracle for little brothers. It is nice to meet you too Cara. I definately have a rather witty and sometimes "out there humour" so I am told. I think you would go mad in this world if you didn't! Hope you are feeling well. I am off to my neuro for my first check up tomorrow after starting on my Rebif so I have my list of questions to ask him. I tell you what I make sure I grill him and make him earn his $150. Mind you he leads the field here apparantly so i will pay him whatever he wants for that expertise ( well almost anything!). I will let you know how I go. Take care and "Here's to new friendships!!" • Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
      Type: Relapsing-remitting MS

My first attack was smack dab in the middle of an emotional crisis I was going through in my life. I've heard trauma can often be the 'trigger' of a first exacerbation. Well, loss of mom, marriage and home sort of sums it up. Now, I've relocated comfortable, become quite a bit stronger and pray every single day for what I DO have instead of what I may like to complain about. It does help believe it or not!

      Treatments

      Copaxone Too Soon to Tell
Side effects were far less than what I'd expected. Delightful!
      Neurontin Working / Worked
This medication has provided such a calming effect in my life. I feel very well since I've been taking it with absolutely zero side effects, safe and non-habit forming. I'd advise giving it a try!
    • Close Parkinson's Disease

I have a close friend whom I believe could quite possibly mimmick the symptoms of Parkinsons. Very tremor like. Poor balance. Not taking care of herself and will NOT let her friends help?
