Well it is a brand new year. As I get older the years just fly by. I hope that everyone had a safe & Happy New Year. Ours was very peaceful. I was in bed my 10:30. That is how exciting of a life I lead. We watched our 5 year old granddaughter. She is a live one. Takes all we have to keep up with her.
When she is at our house the dog is a watcher of the little one. In fact I almost killed him,no not really but I wanted to. I was getting the bed ready so Kyleigh (granddaughter) & I could go to bed. Now to tell you how protective he is of Kyleigh he jumps up on the bed very easily when she is there, but when it is just me & him he wines for me to help him up. Anyway my little winner dog wouldn't let me in bed. He started growling & showing his teeth at me no matter what side of the bed I was on. I had to get hubby up from other room to get him off of my bed & had to close the door so he wouldn't get us. I don't know if that is there nature or what but everytime Kyleigh is over he gets more & more aggressive. But when she is not there he is all over me & can't stay out from under my feet.
I am with hubby this month doing his drug testing for the railroad. I am going to meet another one of my DS friends when we get to Birmingham in the middle of the month. I sure wish some of use lived closer & could meet about once a moth for coffee & lunch.
OK 2009 I am going to start getting into better shape and start all over & try to lose some weight I gained while I had my broken leg. So if anyone out there wants to lose weight together LET"S DO IT.

We live along a creek. My dog (deceased now) used to watch out for Daren he knew he could not go down to the creek...so he would walk between the creek and Daren and herd him back to the house...Daren never realized what was happening, until he was a little older...in fact I used to watch him herd Daren at age 16...trying to keep "the baby" home...Daren used to get so mad...and tell him it is OK I can go to the creek now...funny how animals are when they are protective.

Good luck with the weight loss. It would be so nice if we were closer. Dogs get very jealous, maybe he is. Love and hugs Cathy
