Cautiously optimistic. Mood

Well, maybe it is the Abilify.  Maybe we just had to jump a hurdle in October, like we usually do.  But things have calmed down.  This past weekend was rough, up until he got the homework done Sunday afternoon and finally went out again and watched some tv.  Since then, homework done without too much fuss.  He even sat and was fixing mistakes yesterday and said "Oh yeah, now I see what I did wrong!"  Thank God!  Catching a little break here.  They also switched him to a different ADHD med- Florican?  I have to go look.  I think it is another stimulant, which does give me some worry.  Took it today for first time.

We went for a couple of walks this week (weather permitting, as it has been raining cats and dogs here.)  Gives me a chance to talk, even if it is about stupid stuff.  I don't care, I just want him talking to me.  I did get to the Y this morning.  First time since last Thursday.  But I did 35 minutes on the Gazelle last night.  Yesterday, got in just over 9400 steps and day before about 8100.  So not quite 10k.  Still doing Fitday and calories are good.

I did eat 2 pieces of sausage pizza last night for dinner (medium size pizza.)  Came home last night from CRE (Catholic Religious Education) where I am a teacher aid.  Was starving.  The only thing that kept me from eating was that I had to go get blood work this AM and had to fast.  But I also ate 2 apples, 2 rice cakes and oatmeal.  I did eat one cupcake last night at CRE.  (I made Halloween cupcakes for the kids in my class.)  David said "You're such a mom."  I took that as a compliment.

Oh, and

 GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we go for two years in a row?  Woo HOO!

UPDATE:  11:32pm EST

YEAH!  THE PHILLIES WON THE FIRST GAME OF THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!  WOO HOOOO!  WHOOPED THE YANKEES BUTTS!  MY HUSBAND AND MY BROTHER ARE YANKEE FANS TOO!  SO I GET TO RUB IT IN TOMORROW.

    Yay for your Phillies!
And YAY for things improving a little. Long walks are so great for talking things out. The moments of silence are fine and you can look around while you walk, making it easier to open up. Good idea.
Those steps counts are fantastic!! Be proud. Close enough to 10K to count, in my books. Yesterday I got 9072, and while it isn't 10K, it's CLOSE ENOUGH!!! lol. It's 5km of walking and nearly 500 calories burned, and that's fantastic!! :)
You ARE such a mom. And that is a great compliment.
