I started taking the same thing for my mood swings and it hasn't done a dang thing except make me tired. I'm on 900mg of it every day and my doc upped me to 1 pill in the morning 3 at night for 1200mg(highest dose) and im still just as moody, aggressive, irritable as can be. I've been on the 900mgs since 5 weeks ago. Hang in there. I think most meds have some tolerable side effects. Give it a try your body might have to adjust more to it.

    • Close Bipolar Disorder

I am a 48 year old female. I have been divorced for 5 years and have a 13 year-old son. I was diagnosed Bi-polar with rapid cycling 5 years ago. We believe my symptoms started when I was 23 years old due to a traumatic experience. Highs and lows, excessive money issues. You name the symptoms, I have had them. Everything came to a screeching halt when I separated from my 2nd husband. My mother practically dragged me to a psychiatrist where I was diagnosed as Bi-polar
