About Me
First and foremost, I am an artist. I paint with oils and acrylics. Mostly faces. I love to capture emotions and feelings on canvas. But I do have a real job too. I'm not really that into starving...LOL! I'm originally from Alabama, where I worked as a jeweler.... relocated here in Aug. 2007 after the store went out of business. I love it here in Texas. I really am in need of support for my fibromyalgia though. I'm in pain constantly.

Close Fibromyalgia
I still remember the first bit of pain I had. It was one small spot on my back when I was only 29 years old. Over the years, it has gotten increasingly worse. Some days I don't even want to go on and no matter how much I tell people about the pain, I don't think they really get it. Because I look like I'm perfectly fine. My boyfriend is very understanding and massages me almost everyday. I just don't know what to do.
Treatments
- Acupressure Working / Worked
- Helps a great deal.
- Acupuncture Not Working
- For the migraines
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- This was the most helpful medicine, but the dosage I was prescribed was not high enough...and the Doctor wouldn't increase it.
- Guaifenesin Working / Worked
- Mucinex and Robitussin helped my Asthma slightly.
- Heat Working / Worked
- Heat helps, but as soon as I remove it, the pain is back.
- Neurontin Not Working
- This was the first thing I tried. I didn't help at all.
- TENS Working / Worked
- I hav a small TENS machine. It helps a great deal. The only problem is... when I have it connected to one area, the restlessness (especially in my legs) drives me insane.
- Massage Working / Worked
- Massage is one of the two things that have helped me the most.
- Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
- This is the second best thing I've found for the tension and pain.
- Yoga Working / Worked
- Yoga helps most for the anxiety, but when my pain is really bad, I don't want to move.
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- This is the only thing that has ever worked for my migraines. It works amazingly.
Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI didn't develope asthma until I was about 38 years old. It's gotten worse since then. I moved to Texas in Aug. of 2007. It's a lot worse since I've lived here, but I love it here. When I have an attack it scares me so much.

I suffer from Chronic Anxiety. The worst symptom for me is the feeling that I'm choking. If I could just make that go away, I could almost handle the rest.
Treatments
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- This helped, but very addictive.
- Trazodone Somewhat Helpful
- This help a little.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- This worked great, but because I'm in recovery for drugs and alcohol abuse doctors raise an eyebrow at prescribing it.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Zoloft helps my depression, but not my anxiety.
- Yoga Working / Worked
- Yoga is very helpful for anxiety.
Open Alcoholism
Treatments
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- Alcoholics Anonymous saved my life.
- Residential Treatment Center Working / Worked
- 32 Days of In-patient Treatment. It planted a seed so I'd know where to go when I was ready for help.
