Close Endometriosis
I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 16. Before that, I was told I was just a typical teenage girl who had bad periods and after trial and error and constant pain I under went a lyproscopy surgery that determined I had severe to moderate endometrios. I have had 3 surgeries to date with nothing but short temporary relief.I feel like I have tried every treatment possible and still live with pain every day and it is affecting every aspect of my life.
Treatments
- Aygestin Not Working
- This is the second time I have been on Aygestin and I am currently taking 10 mg a day.2 tablets total.So far, I have had major mood swings, headaches, and weight gain. It doesnt seem to be helping with my pain.
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Working / Worked
- I have taken ortho-cyclen and Low-ogestral by continuous methods and I seemed to have less pain but during ovulation time and period times I would be in severe pain.
- Lupron Not Working
- I did two cycles of Lupron with no relief and significant weight gain. My pain remained the same and I saw no relief.
- Progesterone Not Working
- Weight gain, mood swings, increase in appetite
- Provera Not Working
- WEIGHT GAIN!!!!
- Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- I have had 3 surgeries to date 2002,2005,2006 I have received temp relief.
Close Chronic Pain
I have endometriosis and along with this disease comes chronic pain on a daily basis. I get so tired of medicating myself so that I cant feel the pain. I have dealt with the pain for so long, it has started to gradually consume me. The pain I endure on a daily basis is hard to explain unless you are going through it. I never knew how much one could hurt.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- I was presecribed this anti depressant and it caused headaches, I was unable to sleep and had alot of anxiety.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I have to take 10.5 mg in order for this drug to slightly work.
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- I take this a barrier. I cant work and function on the narcotics.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- I take narcotics on a daily basis to function. I have nausea as a side affect but take meds for that too.
