Hi everyone,
Had my 2nd Avastin only treatment yesterday. Went well and I am still feeling good. I asked my study nurse how many of these treatments would I be getting and she said for an indefinate time. It will depend on my ct scans and what the Dr. wants to do. So I guess I just kick back and will be going every 3 weeks for a while. They are still doing blood draws also to keep tabs on my blood thinner meds, ca125 ,etc. I do not mind because its so much less than I was doing that I feel like I'm on vacation. Will be getting another ct scan in 3 weeks.
The weather here is crazy, going fron the 60's to the 90's in a one week period. This has happened 3 or 4 times now. Oh well, thats better than tornadoes and snow like alot of the country is having. A lot of my flowers are blooming which I really enjoy. Hugs and love to you all,Carol

Hi Carol, I am so glad you are feeling well and that you don't need to be so busy with treatments for a while. We have been freezing this past week - 40s and rainy for three days but today is absolutely beautiful with budding trees, bright sun and 70 degree weather. I just came out of a meeting, however, where the room was so airconditioned that I almost went into hibernation. Enjoy the flowers, love and hugs, Janet

How are you doing on the Avastin? I`ve been on it since February 2, in combination with Gemzar, and they`ve reduced my CA125 from 984 to 24. Unfortunately I can`t get my onc to commit to how long I`ll be on this. I`ve had chemo since the first week of August and am looking forward to a break. Stay well!
