Sorry I have not written anything lately. I really have not been in the mood to write. I just compleated my 3rd cycle and will be having my ct on Nov. 3rd. to find out if it is helping. I am getting a new shot in addition to the Nulasta. It is called Aranesp. It is to boost my blood level. To help bring up my hemogloben which is too low. If that does not work I guess blood tranfusens are next. I would like to hear from any of you that has had this problem and if it is worth it all. I am not ready to quit yet. I am feeling better the past couple days. Have been extremely tired untill the past 3 days. Dr said that was because of my hemogloben being low.
The light of my life which is my great grandbaby is now 6months old and getting cute'r and more personality. I don't get to see him as much as I would like to but that's because they live out of town. Its only an hour drive but its not something I always feel like doing plus I don't want to make a pest of myself.

You are not a pest. You may bug, bother, pest, or whatever you want to us because we are here for whatever you need. I am glad to hear that you are not ready to quit yet because we don't want you too and will not let you.
You hang in there my friend. You hang in there.
Hugs and love to you

Mine was low the first time around with chemo.. sooo many years ago now.. and here I am still kicking.. I had a transfusion of platelets.. 3pts.. and felt better immediately.. as soon as I was given it in fact and the problem didn't return. I remember thinking that the person who donated the blood must have been a very lovely and happy person as I felt so good.. They don't give us Nulasta in the Uk on the NHS as it is too expensive for everyone to have. I know it works wonders and hopefully that is all you will need.. If it isn't enough then there is nothing to fear from a transfusion.. it's a simple drip and you get to feel better straight away..
Hey.. don't worry about being a pest with your new grandchild.. Could be that they are wanting lots of help and input but think you are too unwell.. I should ask them how they feel about you seeing more of your new treasure.. It would help to keep your spirits up whilst going through the treatment and would give the new parents a break..
Hope this cycle is kind to you and that the CT result shows that you have blasted the OC to hell... Loads of love and an extra huge hug to you xxx

I have had both of those shots you mention and they do wonders. The Nulasta makes you kind of achy, but it is worth it. Many hugs to you.
