You are right Carol. It is very difficult. The negativity gets me down sometimes. But I endure for now. Good luck on your CT results. Love and hugs Anita

    Dear Carol
Sending lots of good luck your way for a great CT scan. It`s good to hear that the Topotecan is only causing fatigue. Stay strong...
    xxLinda

    Dear Carol
I`m at MSKCC awaiting chemo and thought of you... how are you doing with the Topotecan? Does it have any adverse effects? Lots of love,
    xxLinda

    Dear Carol
I had no idea that a CA level could be at 4 with recurrence, I thought that was the best indicator. There is a woman on this site, named Linda Williams, who has been receiving Topotecan, I don`t think she has any issues with it so far. Today I noticed that our leaves were changing, and thought of you. I guess the temperature must be dropping after all. Stay strong.
    Lots of love,
    xxLinda

    Dear Carol
I`ve been fortunate and had coverage since February for my Avastin, which has helped my CA drop to 18. However, my battle will begin January 1st, when I have to switch over to the state health plan. Presently I take any Avastin I can get, because I realize they`ll eventually pull the plug on my approval. The cost of this drug is exorbitant, at $6000 for one small infusion. I think that last year`s bills at MSKCC exceeded $400,000 :(
I, too, have trouble sleeping due to steroids. What chemo are you getting now? Our weather still hasn`t changed over, slightly cooler ranging from 70-80s. Stay strong and well.
    xxLinda

Carol, I just read your hug to Linda. Yes it is true that Avastin is not approved for OVCA, but it is for colon Cancer. That is why some ins. companies will pay and some will not. This is so ridicules. It has been proven to help OVCA. Grrrrrrrrrr

Hi Carol, Thank you for the birthday wishes. We're going out to dinner and I'll eat a steak. One of my daughters works at a Texas Roadhouse and we're going to her place. Actually, one of my sons manages a Ruby Tuesday restaurant but his place is too far away. I'm still feeling not too great and did not work today; but, I'm a little better than I was 24 hours ago. It is an absolutely perfect day here. My children have been calling all day so that's been nice. I hope all is well with you. Much love, Janet

Thanks for your good wishes. No luck yet in the job hunting. I am getting very nervous. Yes it has been extremley hot with little rain. Physically I feel great. I went to the Dr. yesterday for regular check up. Awaiting the results of the CA 125 Love and hugs to you. Anita

    Dear Carol
I`m sending you back some sunshine so you don`t get the storms that passed through NJ and causing tonight`s sailing races to be canceled...My major problems with Doxil were fatigue and a racing heart. It always seemed that my blood was pounding withing my eardrums. I asked my oncologist to try something different when my CA125 tripled to 984. Since February I`ve had NO problems with the Avastin which has brought my CA125 down to 20. However, I know these numbers have different values for each of us. Sorry to hear that you received the placebo during your treatment, could they try the Avastin? Lots of love and strength.
    xxLinda
