This one was a rescue. He was left alone for a week without food or water and was found roaming a construction yard and in danger of getting run over be construction equipment. The puppy's "owner" figured the 8 week old puppy would be able to take care of himself, while HE was on vacation for a week. Go figure!!!!

Things have been mostly good. I got transferred to a new department at work (from buffet to fine dining!) and was asked to become their Pastry Chef. YAY! Finally, someone thinks I am capable of more than just "cooking". OH! And a coworker gave me a boxer mix puppy. Some pictures are in my photo area :D

My husband is 19 years older than me. We have been together for 8 years and; married for six of them. He has three children from his previous marriage and together we have four of our own. I feel strongly like many people don't realize how hard it is with step kids. Or how much pressure is put on the step parent.

I am 32 years old and husband is 51. We have 4 children together ages 7, 4, 21mths and 6mths. Also my 17 year old stepson lives with us. My 27 year old step dayghter lives a few miles away and she is, not to sound cruel, completely helpless to her self and her children. My 23 year old stepdaughter lives in NY and loves asking her daddy for money. My oldest stepson died 2 years ago at the age of 27. We run our own internet business from home, so our kids are always with us.

Open Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 12 years ago. In Feb 08 I got very sick and developed a large lump in my neck. My thyroid had become enlarged and I now have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. The doctor says they will probably have to remove my thyroid in time.
Treatments
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- It works but with hashimoto's my levels need to be checked constantly.
