I was diagnosed with CML in June/06. I was put on Gleevec at that time. My oncologist sent me for a transplant referral (at my request) to U of M in October/06 who then referred me to a CML specialist, Dr. Talpaz, who believes I should stay on Gleevec or possibly switch to Srycel because the Gleevec is not completely working for me yet. I have gained A LOT of weight from the Gleevec, which is very uncomfortable for me. I continue to go to U of M until they get my CML under control.
