Close Breast Cancer
Found a lump on the 2Jan05 and had a mastectomy 25Jan05. Had chemo and now cancer free. Still have check ups every 6mths and still have the horrible thoughts of it coming back. I will survive this.
Treatments
- Arimidex Working / Worked
- It has worked so far. I do have side effects like my hair (of little I have) falling out. I wear a little cap all the time Im in public.
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- the chemo worked. I have as terrible time with it. my taste buds and sense of smell disappeared and have not returned. My hair did not come back to what i was. have a few baldy patches.
- Nolvadex Not Working
- This drug was not good for me as I was burning up from my big toe to my scalp. It took my Oncologist 12 mths to believe me till I had an actual HOT in his surgery and he took me off it straight away. It felt like my blood was boiling.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- The surgeon is very proud of himself as HE GOT IT. The doubt is in the back of mind tho when I get low etc.
Close Fibromyalgia
Have had this for many years but only diagnosedin the last year. s I have had this for so long I have learnt to live with it. Lately have noticed that am in much more pain. GPs here dont know too much about it and dont understand the pain.
Treatments
- Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- I get 40 mins of relief a week. We are trying to move closer to the pool as have to travel a great distance.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- I use them regularly.
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- tis good short term.
