ONe Vehcile at a Time Mood
Thursday, August 21, 2008 | A General Update story
Well after much prayer and talk we have decided to put the van out of its misery. I am quite attatched to it. It has had a lot of good memorys in it. I will miss all the room and how easy it is for me to get in and out of it. But we have another vehicle and it will cost less to get it going and we can fix it up. True it wil not have as much room but it will be more cost effective. To get the van fixed we would have to pay between two and for thousand dollars. We really don't have that. We have the IRA coming but we need to use part of that to make repairs on the house and the yard. We have been neglectfull because we just haven't had the money. This way we can possiably still put in underground sprinklers and finish fencing in the yard. We also need to pull up the floor in our bathroom the floor is rotting out. So to use money wisely and cost effective we have either 1. let the van sit until we have more money or 2. sell the van for parts and for the body of the van.  I have to remember it is just and object, I won't die without it and it would make Josh happy to fix up his vehicle. It will be mostly mine because I need it for the kids.  Then we were giving it to Jenna but we have decided we will help her buy herself another vehicle for her use. So today we pay off bills and hire a tow truck to drag the Toyota into the shop to fix it up. Then we can take out the stereo out of the van. I would also like to put a radio in it as well but one thing at a time. Thanks to all who have been reading my journal and adding your support. It really makes me feel good.

We are all feeling the pinch of having to make economical financial choices these days. Sounds like you have it worked out and you are going to be alright. Sometimes we have to give up the things we are most comfortable with. It isn't easy but you are smart enough to do what's right.
Take care and keep in touch!
    Have a great weekend.

I know what it feels like to let go of a vehicle. My car is slowly dieing the gas tank needs to be replaced there is alot of rust under neath it doesn't always want to start and the door handle came off in my hand on the 20th. I'm looking around for a good used cheap car.
