Heres some sunshine for you...I noticed there really wasnt much advice for ODD parents..hmmm....what do you think works...?
I don't know if I spelled it right it is either phins or fins. It's families in need of help. It can be good in some cases but bad in others. It puts the one filed against in under the supervision of the state. The family goes to court & the Judge tells the defendant what he has to do or suffer the consequences. They are given a curfew & in James case ordered to go to school. If they skip then they are given community service jobs to do or whatever the Judge decides. It puts your child in the hands of the State in other words. I don't like that. But in the cases of my great niece & her brothers it was good. It can also put rules on the parents or guardians on what amounts to good parenting. Sometimes those kids went to school hungry & cold. Plus were made to stay out from morning to supper in the heat. It's just got it's good & bad points like everything. When a kid is totally out of control it helps the parents plus puts them on Medicaid for evaluations or whatever they need. I never knew about it until the Councelor brought it up. But it can also get nasty if the child does not comply & he or she can be sent away to a facility to evaluate & try to teach them control issues like if they can't control their temper or anger.
I hope I sort of explained it for you.
I don't know what will happen if he doesn't go back. It's driving me nuts. You can send them but that doesn't mean they will stay.

I have a teen 14 almost 15 since 8th grade I have had issues. I put her in counseling 11 months ago and recently started her on Abilify. She is not improving She has failed all her freshman class's and makes intentional mess's and the disrespect is awful.Im a single widow going thru this...the ODD'S of ODD..ummm..
What type of effect have you had with Abilify? I have my 14 yr old on it.Have you noticed any changes?
