   just a note -- I have bad IBS myself and no one pill helps me enough with it. I am always constipated with bloating and cramping. On my own, I bought myself and now take what's called Sustenex, a female probiotic, that cures almost all of my IBS issues. I then told my gastro doc, and he just said "good". All of his prescriptions were a waste of money, except when Zelnorm was on the market. Hope you feel better soon!!

   hey i'm with you on that one! same here! i really hope you get help too for this. right now i been on miralax. it helps a lot but not always. like lately, it's not been working. so i have to resort to corectol. i take this when i have to take my pain meds cuz the pain meds shut my colon down and miralax don't fix that. corectol helps flush some of it out so that it doesn't hurt anymore. i don't know what cauzes your problems but i hope some of this helps. i'm sorry you have to go thru things like this.

   Doing much better with a Gastro now. On Bile Acid Seqestering Agent called Welchol. 2 pills a day. It just got doubled and Im doing VERY well on it thank goodness. I was SO Over having the Constant runs! Thanks ALL!

   I go through those symtoms to. One time blocked and the nexted I can't get to the bathroon quick enough. But my doctor says I am to young for IBS. But he said that to my mother to. And I hear you bluesun I know about the pain pill problem!!! I have had that problem so bad I have had to use epston salt before!!And all it took was a child dose. Oh it has reached -4!!!    I thought I had IBS too for many years, but it turned out to be celiac disease where you're allergic to anything with wheat or gluten. It was diagnosed with a blood test and confirmed with biopsies. Check out celiac.com for info. Hope you feel better soon. Changing my diet has eliminated the runs, bloating, or constipation.

   I use the peppermint gels from the Now corporation. They work wonders...I take one, three times a day on an empty stomach and it soothes the intestinal tract.
   I also eat whole wheat which works well for me. Fennel seed capsules are excellent for gassiness...both the pepp gels and the fennel seed are found at GNC or other nature stores.I got mine from GNC

   Thanks for all of your help. I rarely read this and even more rarely post on this. Im having the runs again but I have a FLU but Im begging to wonder now if its not the Colitis getting me again.

   Well, I am not much help in this area, but pee, pee, pee, pee, am totally incontinent of urine because of back, wear those cheap depends and then I buy cheap towels and wear that and then my pants over that and then...and then...I look an absolute horse. I don't want to go anyway, plus am on oxygen, etc. I hope you will write, I can't get answers from anybody here and am trying to make some friends. Try and stay as well as you can, take one day at a time!!!!!

   Whoops!, I forgot. I have colitis too and sometimes it is totally gross and then I eat laxatives. Gees.

    Janie Im now on Welchol which is helping a lot with IBS . I have Spincter of Oddi dysfuntion from having my gallbladder out. I was misdiagnosed for years with Crohns. I use very big Kotex for any accidents. They are cheaper and work fine. WalMart has a cheap brand I use.
