Hi Diane! I'm so sorry I didn't have time to chat with you earlier this evening, I was in my usual before time to fix supper rush. I hope we get another chance to chat soon, seems we just barely keep missing each other being on-line. I hope you and your girls are doing alright. Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I was recently diagnosed with IBS. Took Levbid (Hyoscyamine) for a while but did not really help. Now just take Loperamide when needed and it works pretty good My biggest problem with IBS is tummy aches. Some days no matter what I eat, it causes a tummy ache. UGH! Glad to find this site.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Sometimes helps and sometimes it does not. Some days seems like no matter what I eat or don't eat, tummy hurts.
- Imodium Working / Worked
- works pretty good
Close Hypothyroidism
I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for some time now (years)and have been on Levoxyl 50mcg once daily. I have been suffering with constant fatigue. I am so tired of being tired all the time.
Treatments
- Synthroid Somewhat Helpful
- Doctor says the Levoxyl is to help maintain the size of my goiter so that it does not continue to grow.

I have always called myself the world's best procrastinator. Procrastinating has been a huge problem for me. It has caused me to have my home foreclosed on me. It has caused me to totally ruin what used to be excellent credit. It has caused many losses and stresses in my life.
Open Bereavement
Type: Loss of a Partner/SpouseI finally found my one true love through a friend of mine. We were pen pals at first and then we met face to face and it was not long before we both fell and fell hard for one another. But it was not long before he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and I lost him 4 months later on Nov. 21. He wanted nothing more than to go home and be with the Lord. Now he is there happy and pain free. I will love him always.

- I cry when I need to. . . I allow the tears to bring a cleansing. I cry tears of happiness for him and loss for me. But one day I will be with him again.

Open Diabetes Type 2
Iam diabetic and have been diagnosed as soon for quite a few years.
Treatments
- Metformin Working / Worked
- I have had to had my metformin dosage increased to three times a day but it seems to be helping. My blood sugars have come down a lot since the increase.
- Amaryl Working / Worked
- I also take Amaryl in addition to Metformin. Both work together quite well. I need to be a more compliant diabetic and I am sure my bs levels would be better.
Open High Cholesterol
My recent lab results showed my HDL too low at 31 (it should be at least 40) and my LDL 107 (should be less than l00), my Cholesterol is 189 (should be under 200), but my triglycerides are up to 342 (should be under 150).
Treatments
- Lopid Working / Worked
- It was just increased to 3 600 mg tabs per day. The reason it had gone up was because my insurance has expired and I did not have the money to get it refilled.
Open Internet Addiction
I have been addicted to the internet for about 6 or 7 years now. It has impacted not only my life but the lives of my children as well. I have failed to spend quality time with them because of my addiction to the internet. And I have done a lot of stupid stuff over the last few years. I have changed a lot but am still addicted. I can sit on here 12 hours a day or more when I have a day off. It is crazy. I get nothing done around the house.
Open Menopause
I am 56 years old and ready to be done with menopause. I thought I was done with periods.......had not had one in 4 months (finally!) and then boom here is it again in full force. Grrrr!
Open Gout
Got lab results back and it confirms I have gout. Doctor is putting me on Zyloprim.

- Allopurinol Too Soon to Tell
- Right foot turn red with swelling and much pain last week. Turns out it is gout. Will be picking up meds today. 8-25-08.
