Iam a mother of one, a wife, and a daughter. I have been a medical assistant in the health care field for four years. I love helping patients feel better, I love making anyone feel better. I've spent the past two years learning about endometriosis and It's time to start talking to others about it. I can't believe how many of us there are out there.

I love to read and write. I live in Utah so I have to ski, its in our blood. I love animals, I have two cats and Im currently trying to talk my husband into the idea of getting a dog or two. I have a daughter that has ended up teaching me more than I've taught her.

so you are on the lupron shot how is it doing for you i am going to go the 14th to get my 5th one and i got one more to go so it did not do any thing for me so how is it with you.

Close Endometriosis
I have had endometriosis pain for 6 years. I was just diagnosed with endometriosis 2 years ago. Every day is a struggle to convince not only myself but my family members that its not all in my head.
Treatments
- Aygestin Not Working
- This is a form of progesterone. I do not do well with progesterone. It makes me moody,mad,depressed and just a nasty person all around. I had to discontinue it due to side effects.
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Somewhat Helpful
- I have been on continuous birth control pills for aprox. 7 months. Im doing ok but sometimes I cycle and the pain starts all over again.
- Laser Surgery Not Working
- Had this two years ago. After healing was done, the pain was just as bad as if I never had it done.
- Lupron Working / Worked
- I was on Lupron for 6 months. It helped me considerably. I was frightened of the side effects but I ended up being one of the lucky ones. My appetite went away completely and I lost 15 pounds and I was less moody and the pain was decreased. The pain didnt go away entirely and it came back about two or three months after my treatments were done.
- Mirena Not Working
- I actually had this IUD in when I was diagnosed with endo. Somehow it made the pain worse and I had it removed when I had my laparoscopy.
- Surgery Not Working
- Had a laparoscopy with laser treatment two years ago. It did not help at all.
