Hi Wiyan- I can totally relate to the problem of having a partner who gambles...I started so I could spend more "quality time" with my boyfriend. (LOL) Congratulations on beginning your journey of recovery. Writing a journal and reading and commenting on the journals of others can be very helpful. Hope you have a gamble free day tomorrow! Close Gambling Addiction & Recovery
I was introduced to gambling by my now ex-husband, I got into it real fast as at the time I was a practicing alcoholic also. Worked full-time for a gov. agency, good money, husband and I had our own business also. Two addicts is not a good mix!! Got in trouble with the law for the drinking and now just maining gambling - lotto and slots. I really need the support.
Treatments
- Distancing Somewhat Helpful
- Works for a while but I don't have a sponsor and that could help.
- Gamblers Anonymous Working / Worked
- Very small group where I live. Went several times didn't go back. Don't know why.
Close Degenerative Disc Disease
Diagnosed in 2003, had first surgery, hardware put in, first 2 months I was ok, then started to go downhill, found out the one of the rods put and broke. I had to wait 1 year to get it fixed 'cause of no financial resources.
