Close Bipolar Disorder
Diagnosed almost 10 years ago. Hospitalized 4 times.
Treatments
- Group Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Find individual therapy more helpful.
- Haldol Working / Worked
- Not Haldol! Other prescriptions have helped! Wellbutrin, Cellexa, Seroquel etc.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI am a 33 years old woman and I have battled the demons of depression and bi-polar disorder for almost 10 years. I joined because I need support that my family can't give me because they don't understand the disorders

Open Personality Disorders
Type: Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)I was diagnosed as having a borderline personality...it was kind of funny because I watched "Girl Interrupted"(great movie) and I self diagnosed some of my character flaws/characteristics. I also have Obessive Compulsive Disorder.
Open Sexual Abuse
Sexually abused by a fire fighter for 2 years.Went to the police to have him charged.The head of the major crimes division is married to a fire fighter.I was accused of lying & they didn't believe me-I was just a crazy lady with mental problems. Men in uniforms stand together and protect each other!DAMN BASTARDS!

Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Diagnosis with PTSD which stems from being abused in past relationships.I stayed too long in too many relationships. I am not a punching bag or a door mat!
Open Eczema
I feel really ugly when I have breakouts. My brother and I have the same thing. I was fine when I was on the birth control pill. Ever since I went off it, my eczema got worse.
Treatments
- Hydrocortisone Working / Worked
- It works sometimes.
Open Pulmonary Embolism
I had a massive Bi-Lateral P.E. in 2004. I had one major blood clot in each of the four lobes in my lungs. I was hospitalized for almost 2 months. No one thought I would survive. I think it occurred because I was on the B.C. pill everyday and never stopped which was ordered by my OB/GYN to control my endometriosis. I found out that I also have abnormal C and S proteins in my blood. But I am still here to talk about it...Yeah! :)
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- I try and get my INR check as often as I can. I am really bad with this. Everyone tells me that it is really important but I dont really and truly understand why.
- Heparin Working / Worked
- Heparin I.V. when I was diagnosed. I was on it for about 2 months when I was hospitalized.

Scared that my head injury that happened at work will have permanently damaged my brain. I am confused, can't concentrate, short-term memory loss, ringing in my right ear, unstable on my feet, weakness on my right side, some visual problems and a headache that won't subside.

I joined this group because I have battled with major clinical depression and BiPolar Disorder for many years. I have attempted suicide multiple times and this group shows me that there must be another alternative...other than suicide.
