Interests
We love spending time with all our children, reading and playing with them and when they all go to sleep watch movies and get some quiet time. Lately we have been looking to do more things since Taliah is showing an interest in a lot more these days.

Support Groups
Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
With today being January 30, 2008. My youngest daughter was diagnosed with very mild autism. I found this site in search of different places that I can receive information and ask questions from those who have and are in my situation and hoped that I could help others with any knowledge that I may run across. My fiance and I are find with the fact that our daughter has autism, but we want answers that it seems people are not willing to give.
Treatments
- Early Intervention Working / Worked
- We have been using early intervention (easter seal) since our daughter Taliah was almost two. It works great. You get therapist and exposure to a beginning of resources and support that you are going to need to use during this journey of finding out. Easter seal (E.I) Helps you to find and pick a place to have your child diagnosed if the delays are great enough.
- Occupational Therapy Working / Worked
- This works well. This is just one of the therapist that Taliah has. She also has a developmental, speech and nutritionist.
- Patience Working / Worked
- This is a BIG part of it and it is also the hardest. Especially when they can not speak well due to not being old enough or whatever. It is hard to figure out what they want and help them move in the direction of progression with out verbal communication sometimes.
- Picture / Word Schedules Working / Worked
- This is apart of the sign language for us that her speech therapist recommended. It is going okay, but she does not stick to it.
- Sign Language Somewhat Helpful
- We have not used much of this as of yet...but it is helpful if you can get them to continue to use it.
