Was diagnosed with HCV in February of 2007 with an undetermined cause of the disease. Everyone close to me tested negative. The only possible explanation is 2 blood transfusion I recieved in 2001. I also have fibromyalgia from HCV, am in stage 0 liver disease, my viral load was 250,000 before starting treatment. I officially finished 48 weeks of treatment on Oct. 3, 2008 and so far I'm a 6 month SVR (I'm undetectable).
I have asthma from the lung injury I received from GERD while pregnant with my first child. After delivery I was on life support for my lungs and was having tons of stomach acid pumped from my lungs and stomach, now I'm left dealing with asthma.
I have Fibromyalgia from HCV that the dr's don't know where I got infected from since I have no known risk factors.
I have battled depression on and off my whole life, but the real battle with depression has come now that I am on HCV treatment since it is a huge side effect of treatment.
I have battled migraines since I was 8 years of age. Sometimes they can be so bad I wind up in the hospital.
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea when I did a pulmonary stress test due to worsening asthma and it suggested I either had mitochondrial myopathy or sleep apnea. Was tested for both and only tested positive for the sleep apnea (which I was tested with 2 sleep studies) and negative for the myopathy.
I had problems with my stomach my whole life and never knew why until my first pregnancy I kept having severe problems and my ob kept doing nothing about it. I had severe complications at the end of my pregnancy including lung failure with my lungs filled with stomach acid and I was on life support and had stomach acid pumped out of both of my lungs and my stomach. It wasn't until then I was diagnosed with GERD. Now thanks to that incident, I suffer from asthma for the rest of my life.
