I am a happily married mother of five, and Grandmother of five. I love the beach, shelling and Florida sunsets. I also love to swim, oil paint and sew. Im a former Day Care Director, Teacher and Nurse, and I am very much a people person. I became disabled to the point where I couldn't work any longer seven years ago, and it has turned my life upside down.

Close Arthritis
I was diagnoised with Arthritis when I was 17years old. My condition became more severe when I contracted Lymes Disese in 1984 and developed Lymes encephelitis. The Lymes caused the premature death of my unborn child and the Arthritis went downhill from there. I have had more than 10 arthrocopies, 2 knee replacements and 2 thumb fushions. But I keep on fighting to stay mobile.
Treatments
- Acupressure Somewhat Helpful
- It gave me some relief for the pain but did not last long enough.
- Arthrotec Somewhat Helpful
- I began to develope some stomach problems.
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- Helps to take the edge off sometimes.
- Lodine Somewhat Helpful
- I take it daily but I don't think it helps much.
- Medrol Working / Worked
- I was great while I was taking it but wore off after I stop taking it.
- Relafen Not Working
- made me too sick
- Surgery, Knee Replacement Working / Worked
- Great relief for the severe pain and enabled mobility
- Swimming Working / Worked
- Best exercise you can do! And I love it.
- Synvisc Not Working
- It did not help
- Voltaren Somewhat Helpful
- Was not that effective
Close Dyslexia
I am a 52 year old wife,mom and grandmother,my dyslexia affects my vision and hearing. I was told at a young age I would not be able to complete school due to this disability. I proved them wrong, I have a BA in Science, AA in Daycare Management. I also went to Nursing School. It was alot of hard work, but it payed off.

- It took alot of practice and commitment.

- It helped me to focus.
Open Angina
I have had stable Angina for eight years now. Now my Cardiologist says it is unstable and I have to take Nitro for it. My tests say I now have Coronary Heart Disease. I am only 52 years old. I also have Rhumatoid Arthritis.
Treatments
- Metoprolol Somewhat Helpful
- It helps to keep my heart rate down.
- Nitroglycerin Working / Worked
- It does it job. But the headaches are terrible.
