Close Bipolar Disorder
Widowed Bipolar with PTSD. I have had the classic Bipolar 1 symptoms as long as I can remember. Have been treated for depression and PTSD. And finally was dx with Bipolar during treatment.
Treatments
- Abilify Working / Worked
- It worked for depression. I went off it because it made me pace like an animal in a cage.
- Clonazepam Working / Worked
- Fish Oil Working / Worked
- I am on the fence with this one. I'm not sure it effects my mood.
- Pilates Working / Worked
- This works well for me as far as the depression goes. I added some yoga and it is helping with mania too.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Neeener Neener Neeenerr Seroquel Topamax killed all your sugar cravings.
- Topamax Too Soon to Tell
- Just started it on 5/5/09 5/9/09 It is already helping with mood swings and curbing my cravings for food that came with seroquel. Also seems to curb cravings for alcohol. I do feel a little anger with it and feel dopey.
- Wellbutrin Not Working

Widowed Bipolar with PTSD. My husband died after many years of alcohol abuse. He basically killed himself. His heart stopped permanently while I was giving CPR in June 04 at the age of 42. We had a horrible marriage. I got a nasty case of PTSD from it. The prevalent emotion he left behind in me is ANGER.

Widowed Bipolar with PTSD. Acquired PTSD after being stuck reliving watching my husband die.

Widowed Bipolar with PTSD.

- It helps at times but some anxiety slips through.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- Prescribed for Bipolar but it along with the Pilates and Yoga is helping me with anxiety.

- None of the meds that have been prescribed over the years for depression have helped.

Open Phobia
Widowed Bipolar with PTSD I have a phobia that comes and goes. It is a fear of the floor caving in and Social phobia.
