  Thank you for the hug :) My son has been going to school for 6 days now and he seems to like it, I dont but I am glad he does. I still dont like that he is in school for 8 hours....when will he have time to be a kid? Ive been watching a lot of TV and being lazy, but I still miss my guy when hes at school.

  OMG if I didn't know any better I would believe this was I writing this post. My situation is near exact except my X is not incarerated he's just a part-time parent more like seasonal partent. My son is close to his Paternal Granddad which is amazing since they've only been together a total of 2-3 times in almost 5yrs. I have these feelings and what Ive learned and have been reassured by family, friends and DS fam is that we are doing our best and that's the only thing we can strive for. You have to examine every opportunity to determine if its the best for your child. Does that mean being active in his father's side of the family is a must, no, it means if they aren't the best for your son at 5 then they have to love him from a far til he's older to understand the difference of rights and wrongs on a higher level. I had to enact a similar method with my son and certain family members, now it may sound wrong but they will either check their behavior or you will protect your son which is your first and only priority. We are not to carry this burden of responsbility alone however that is what life dealt us therefore making decisions are our responseiblity alone. Be strong in you decisions. i wish you enough...
