Sorry I didn't answer back right away, been ill. My son called this morning, finally made it to to his base over there! I'm a bit nervous, they call it "mortar city" because it gets hit with so many mortars! Just what a mom likes to hear. It is still a lot safer than his last deployment. How is your boy doing? Where is he at? Mine is at Selerno. He is with a medical dust off unit, (helicopter medical rescue). what is your son's mos? would love to trade email?
My sons deployment date is Sept 17....this is his second deployment, the first was in Iraq. I know how you feel, things are really ramping up in Afghanistan...its scary. My son changed his MOS, he will hopfully spend most of his time on base this time, but the fear is still there. Hope your son is well and adjusting to life over there! would love to stay in touch with another mom!

newly dx but haven't been to the rheumy yet..go in feburary. had 2 false positine about 15 years ago and was never retested.i have painful joints and muscles...alot of morning swelling and the all telling butterfly that burns when it comes out and have recentally started having rashes and itch all over. i have alot of respitory problems that was diagnosed as asthma years ago but i wonder if it was lupus all along.

have a son in the army..currently deployed to afghanistan. he is in the 82nd airborne infantry division.
just diagnoised with this often painful disease and can always use support and info.
