Journal Entry for March 26, 2008
I know it has been a little while since I've last written in here, but I've been kind of busy. I went out of town all last week due to Daniel …
I am a person, that until you get to know me, I am kind of quiet. Once you get to know me, and I you, you may be surprised by what I say. I try to have a positive outlook on life, even though that doesn't always seem to happen. I work at a major university in Lexington, Kentucky as a bill collector, and enjoy my work very much. (We bill collectors aren't all mean, like they make us out to be on tv.)

Reading, cross-stitch, camping, swimming, spending time with my family (when I'm able to make it back home to Evansville, IN), anything new that I've never done before...not much of a daredevil tho!

I am a type 1 diabetic, and have been since the age of 14. It is frustrating because if I have a low blood sugar, I have to drink or eat something with sugar. I also have a lot of stress in my relationship right now, but am not willing to throw in the towel just yet.
I was diagnosed Type 1 when I was 14 years old. I am now 29, and in pretty good health. I have just gotten the Omnipod Insulin Pump, and I love it. However, I am trying to lose weight associated with a research study I was in for inhalable insulin.
I used to be petrified to speak to anyone that I didn't know, including anyone on the telephone. I now have a job that requires me to contact people on the telephone. I still have a very difficult time speaking to people face-to-face. I actually tend to shy away from people. If they make the first move and open a line of discussion, I can participate, but that ends as soon as the topic dies down. I try to think of new topics, but freeze.
