great stuff. I learned this technique when i was sixteen. i read a book called the relaxation responce. it was great training and has carrid me through many a tough times.
I've felt like i was having a heart attack a few times, it's really scary. I have mild Asthma also so i have to have my inhaler when i'm having an Anxiety (panic) attack. This was very helpful! Thanks!
In the case of anxiety yes those are natural breathing complications but I disagree that anxiety is related to majority of cases than true breathing problems and they do develop into much worse problems because anxiety seems to be the answer to many physicians ...I had a heart attack and now suffer from dyspnea (sighing) the doctors ignore it and will find themselves in serious trouble if they keep going that route because the law insists that many doctors are sued if they continue to ignore dyspnea and that is the case . I had serious breathing problems which caused me to choke and lean against walls grunting to try clearing my lungs and one lung fell to 30% capacity so the nurse called the doctor and was prescribed antibiotics 3.5 months later had a heart attack ...the doctors are being foolish with my life anxiety should never be a diagnosis and rigorous testing should take priority . I can breath normally when having the wits scared out of me from a bear but whether I am sitting or exercising I sometimes go into dyspnea for no reason and I believe anxiety is very unrelated to continuous breathing problems... if it is continuous you can bet the chances of it being anxiety related is almost nil .
Please don't take offense but your advice is very bad on just this one video I explained why to 2 internists and 3 Gen Practitioners ...their answers were lame ie there are gray areas is one or they just gave me a blank confused look and this being after the fact so there really isn't anything they can say . Well I wanted to take it one step further and find out why from their perspective so I found lists and lists and lists and even more lists which down played breathing problems and found many ,infact when I take a good look at all the likely symptoms I really don't have a problem at all and it really is anxiety everything fit into place so well and makes so much proven sense thatI would be a fool to think that I have something wrong so I attached the question of breathing so badly a lung colapsed and I ended up with a heart attack to the equation luckily there was an article I stumbled across which one short paragraph read ;if a doctor refuses to test dyspnea they will be sued . Now the problem with that is dyspnea will advance into more serious problems making it obvious therefore to late for the doctor to avoid being sued but if its tested that involvres continuous testing for at least half a day preferably monitored 24 hours . A quick test proves only that the problem is not obvious/advanced .I found alot is ignored to reach the anxiety diagnoses and am only posting this because mixing anxiety and breathing trouble is very dangerous immoral and wrong without rigorous testing .sorry to shoot this down but its necessary because of the implications ...
great stuff, cyn.

Excellent video, cyn, and one that I'll refer my friends to when I'm asked about anxiety. Thank you for posting this. ~Oli
