Welcome. I was diagnosed first with chiari and after surgery when my symptoms came back they now say I have the increased pressure or Pseudotumor cerebri. As far as I can tell it's all about the same. I get LP every 3 months. Had one and it helped next one is 2-14. Diamox helps a little.

Close Angina
Recently diagnosed with hypertension and probable Angina. awaiting a thallium profusion scan and have been given loads of meds and told to take it very easy until they have the scan results.
Treatments
Close Arnold-Chiari Malformation
I Have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and originally had a LP shunt which (a rare complication)caused Aquired Arnold Chiari Malformation.I was diagnosed about 3 years ago.
Open Hydrocephalus
I have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension which is a form of hydrocephalus.
Treatments
- Acetazolamide Somewhat Helpful
- Helpful but not enough to stop the pressure rising.
- Shunts Working / Worked
