Originally from NJ. Dx with Bi-Polar, Severe Clinical Depression, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), Heart Disease. Work in manufacturing. Husband died in 2000, no children. Currently taking care of my elderly/terminally ill father. I believe everything happens for a reason. I want to understand, relate and learn from others afflicted with this diagnosis.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I never really understood myself all my life.I was different, a recluse,friendless, lonely,but always felt more comfortable being alone. I was very shy when young,and taken advantage of many times in my life. Spent most of my time trying to please others then myself.I snapped one day and am no longer gullible.I have been diagnosed with Bi-Plor II disorder.( Which is more depressed than manic.)I was 41 years old before I found out what my problem was. 41 years of being disturbed.
Treatments
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Working well, along with Lexapro and Wellbutrin.No side affects for me.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Working well,no side affects.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- Working wellfeeling no depression at all with the combo of meds. No full blown episodes of mania.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionBeen severely depressed since childhood. Always felt different,like something was wrong with me. There was but I never knew it....
Open Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Obsess mostly over thoughts in my head.Don't know if its common,but just can't let things go.Kinda like the energizer bunny,(keeps going and going. )
Open Anxiety
Happens mostly with going out in public, and going to places I'm not familiar with.
Open Coronary Heart Disease
DX at age 40. It runs in the family.
