Close Fibromyalgia
I started at age 5 with Leg Perthes disease in Lt. hip, have had Osteo in it since then, In past 15 years I don't remember not hurting, I now have Hypothyroid, going thru menapause, have arthritis all over body, and Fibro, over weight,
Treatments
- 5-HTP Working / Worked
- took 100mg, 3xday, it helped lower appetite, helped with moods, helped some with sleep
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- hated it, made me feel very druged out and still had the pain I hated it
- Elavil Working / Worked
- made me feel druggy, and itchy all over, didnt like it
- Guaifenesin Working / Worked
- trying it again, on 800mg, right now it has increased my symptoms don't know if I will continue still testing it out
- Heat Working / Worked
- works sometimes
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I am on 300mg 3x day, I really can't tell if it works, I still hurt like hell
- Ultram Working / Worked
- the 24 hr, tab did not work, I am on 100 mg 2 to 3x day it seems to help better than other stuff I have tried
Close Arthritis
I am 51, married 30+, started with perthes disease of Lt. hip at 5 , for last 25 years had arthritis in that hip now arthritis pain seems to hit every joint I have, dealing with FMS and Hypothyroid, and over weight.

- Arthrotec Somewhat Helpful
- got samples, It might have worked but my insurance wouldn't pay for it, I couldnt afford it so found something cheaper
- Bextra Somewhat Helpful
- on it for about a year before taking it off market, didn't work all that well
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Working / Worked
- seems to be working take 3 a day
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- Take 800mg in between my utram, I have had best results with ibuprophen than most pain pills, just don't work long enough
- Naproxen Not Working
- Take it off and on but doesn't seem to work very good
- Tylenol Not Working
- don't work for me
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I had the shots, and a couple of rounds of the pills, it worked wonders on my pinched nerves , the best relief I ever had, but lasted only as long as I was on them , also, weakens immune system, got major MRSA staph infection 2 weeks after i was on it, and I attribute it to the prednisone, weakening my system

I am 51, married 30+, it seems I been peri menopausing since my mid forties, it started by heaving flow, and period lasting for 2 to 3 weeks with heavy flow, to having a light flow all months, to now I have a heavy flow period for 2 weeks and off for 4 to 6 months , i have fibroids as well.major hot flashes and sweats wake me up every2 hours at night

- It is in my, flax,fish, borage oil and essential oil blend I take 3xday, i believe it helps

- any milk product /ice cream, can't eat after evening meal

- no food after supper, must wait for at least 4 hours after a meal in order to go to bed

- usually have to get up and sleep in my recliner to keep my head up, it works for a couple of hours then able to go back to bed

I am 51 been hypo since 1990 on .200mcg levothyroid, been on that for 5 + years

- since I have FMS and going through menopause, they all seem to have all the same symptoms, so I really don't know how well it is working
