Clover is a lucky kitty. He was eating roadkill in the middle of the road when we first saw him. We pulled over to shoo him away from oncoming traffic, but it was too late. The car behind us hit him. Another car stopped to help and, together, we got him to an emergency vet, raised the funds to pay for his medical care, and saved his life. The only permanent injury he sustained was that half of his bottom jaw had been crushed beyond repair but had to be removed. He eats just fine.
