  Hey. I just registered onto this site after googling "my niece is emotionally abused." and found your post on your nephew/niece.... I'm really sorry to hear that and I can 100% empathize with and relate to you. It breaks my heart to hear my sister, who now lives with us, yell, humiliate, threaten, and beat my niece. "The louder you get, the harder I hit.""if you don't stop I'm going to beat you." I hate my sister, because of this. My dad isn't helpful either, and actually makes it worse. My mom is the least hurtful but still hurtful, but I think at least she would come closer to empathizing and relating than the other two since she had to repeat a grade two or three times to graduate high school(my sister is probably frustrated and taking it out on her niece who has to repeat first grade) .
