Looking forward to a nice long Thanksgiving holiday. This year we'll be staying at home, but I hope we will see …
Ok, so here's how I did yesterday:
Breakfast: Mini-wheats and milk. (I know, too many carbs.)
Lunch: 7 layer burrito minus dairy (no cheese, no sour cream)
1 sucker, 1 piece of hard candy
Dinner: Peanut butter and honey sandwich on whole wheat.
Late nite: 1 carrot. 1 red pepper; 1/2 C lowfat cottage cheese. 1 piece fudge! Darn!
I also hiked about 2 miles yesterday with the fam.
So, not the greatest, but not the worst either.
Water: 30 oz.
Dairy: 3 servings
Veggies: 3 servings
Here's how I did on my 7 questions yesterday:
1. Did I drink 5 eight ounce glasses of water today? Almost!
2. Did I have 5 servings of veggies today? Only 3
3. Did I eat carbs in the morning, protein at night? Uh, nope!
4. Did I stop eating after 7 p.m? Nope!
5. Did I exercise today? Yes!
6. Did I take my supplements today? Yes!
I was just thinking I ought to add my spiritual exercise to those questions, so I can try and do them every day, too.
1. Did I think positive thoughts today?
2. Did I start the day off cheerfully for my family?
3. Did I study my scriptures and try to listen for guidance?
4. Did I remember that love is the main thing that is important in every day?
5. Did I remember that God loves me just the way I am?
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I recently have been raising my 4 year old granddaughter. And I just turned 50. At this point in time I thought I would …
I am a homemaker going back to college full-time. I am doing fine.
well i dont think you'll do all those qs everyday its a lot to stay in check with! you did a lot of exercise and i think what you ate is a little light for that you were probably left hungry?

You are right, I won't do all those questions every day. I'm just thinking of them as my ideals.
Ideally, I'd answer all or most of the questions with reasonably good (not perfect) answers.
The last 5 questions I guess grew out of the depression I've been dealing with. It's my attempt to pull myself up by the bootstraps and keep going on as best I can, hoping that I will reach a better, happier place soon.
Have you ever read Dr. Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" If you know the book, I'm in a slump, so to speak, and "unslumping yourself is not easily done."
Thanks for checking in on me!

Oh, and, you might be right that I ate a little light that day, but I didn't feel hungry strangely enough. :o)
