I have 2 daughters and a grandson. They are the reason I fight so hard to be okay! I was diagnosed with ms 15 years ago. It has been a very tough, long journey but I never give up.

There's a story told about a farmer who advertised a litter of pups for sale in the local newspaper. The next day a little boy showed up at his front gate and got off of his bike as he asked, "How much do you want for the puppies, mister?"
"Twenty-five dollars each, son."
The boy's face dropped. "Well, sir, could I at least see them anyway?"
The man whistled and around the side of the barn came the mother dog followed by four of the cutest puppies who were wagging their tails and rolling over each other to keep up with their mother. The little boy had to laugh and leaned over to pet the rowdy animals and their mother. Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement and looked up to watch another pup coming around the corner of the house dragging one hind leg. "What's the matter with that puppy, mister?" he asked.
"Well, son, that puppy is crippled. The vet said she doesn't have a hip joint and she'll never be able to use that leg. I'm putting her out of her misery this afternoon."
To the amazement of the farmer, the boy reached in his pocket and pulled out two quarters and held them out begging, "Please, mister, I want to buy her. I'll pay you 50 cents every week until the 25 dollars is paid. Honest I will, just let me buy her."
The farmer shook his head. "Son, you don't understand. That pup is never going to be able to run or jump. She's going to be crippled forever. You don't want a useless pup. I'd give her to you but she won't be any good to you."
The boy hesitated, then reached down to pull up his pant's leg, exposing a leg brace. "Mister, that pup is going to ned someone who understands her to help her in life!"
Don't we all need that person who takes us just as we are and cares enough to help us through the bad times. The very best recipe for making friends is to be one yourself.
