    • About Me

I'm not working, not married, no kids (don't want any); love the sunshine, beach, muscle cars, and spending time with my boyfriend. I was medically discharged from the Marine Corps in 2005 after serving 5 years. I grew up back and forth between the US and Indonesia, however, most of the years were spent in Indo. I have three brothers, no sisters. I'm the most aggressive, rebellious, and daring child. I pretty much set the pace for the family. I have 7 tattoos including a big skull on my back.

Sometime this year, we taxpayers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment.

This is a very exciting new program. I will explain it using the Q and A format:

      Q. What is an Economic Stimulus payment?
      A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

      Q. Where will the government get this money?
      A. From taxpayers.

      Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
      A. Only a smidgen.

      Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
      A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

      Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
      A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

      * If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China .
      * If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.
      * If you purchase a computer, it will go to India .
      * If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala .
      * If you buy a car, it will go to Japan .
      * If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .
      * If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

1 spending it at yard sales, or
2 going to hockey/ball games, or
3 spending it on prostitutes, or
      4 beer or
      5 tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the US ..)

      ***
I'm going to go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that I met at a yard sale, and drink beer! Just call me a patriot.

What are you fighting for and why have they denied you? Once you hit 70% you can apply for unemployability and that will take you to 100%. Are you represented by a service organization?

    • Close Fibromyalgia

I was medically discharged from the Marine Corps in 2005 for severe asthma and a lumbar herniated disc. Docs could not explain the other symptoms till later that year I brought a pamphlet to them on fibromyalgia. I tested positive by tender point test that was done by 2 different docs at 2 different times. My life revolves around how i feel at the moment.

      Treatments

      Effexor Working / Worked
a month later the severe pain started reducing, enough that I'm not bed rested so much anymore, causes some nausea
      Elavil Not Working
did not work, made symptoms worse
      Neurontin Working / Worked
dizziness while adjusting but helping very much with the altered sensations and very painful nerve pain
      TENS Working / Worked
works for back pain, temporarily disrupts pain, can only be used a few times a week max
      Ultram Somewhat Helpful
worked temporarily then had to switch to tylanol w codeine
      Vitamin B12 Somewhat Helpful
keeps my vit B12 levels up and just a bit more energy, other than that i get upset stomach
      Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
was a rough adjustment.... had more body aches for about 2 weeks and the leg pain was horrible. body aches started reducing. but the fatigue is still there and the aches havent gone down enough to compare with effexor. something really good that came out of it though is the migraines have gone down to a minimum and some days nothing.
    • Close Degenerative Disc Disease

I injured my back early 2004 while on active duty, but the docs only asked for x-rays so didn't catch the real problem. Sent me back to full duty again and again. over a 5-6 months period I continued to worsen till one day on duty, my legs started falling out from under me. Then I got an MRI and they found a herniated disc in lower lumbar. After being medically discharged in 05, the VA dx me w DDD, and I have 2 more bulging discs above that one and they found the same thing in my neck.

    • Open Asthma
      Type: Exercise-Induced Asthma

I caught pneumonia in early 2001 while on active duty, and it took 7 docs to finally look at my x-ray and get it right. By then, the pneumonia had done it's damage. It took me 6 months to recover and ever since, I have never been able to breath the same again. Two years later, I finally got to see a pulmanoligist who made the diagnosis. My asthma continued to worsen till I ended up getting a med discharge. Military doctors suck!!

      Treatments

      Advair Working / Worked
Worked very well, but VA had to switch me to asmanex since they can't afford advair.
      Asmanex Working / Worked
I like advair better, but this does it's job, too
      Foradil Working / Worked
      sucks, but it works
      Singulair Working / Worked
took 3 weeks to feel the difference, but it's good
      Xopenex Working / Worked
I try to take it every night, it helps prevent the flair ups I get in the middle of the night.
    • Open Veterans

Served in the Marine Corps from 2000-2005. My MOS was Motor Transport, secondary MOS was Translator. Was medically retired. VA rating: 60%. Just started receiving SSDI, and DOD just canx my retiree benefits (b@$tards).

    • Open Interracial Relationships

I'm half Indonesian (Sundanese and Javanese) and half Caucasian (Jewish, English,German, Scottish, & French), and my boyfriend is half Iranian (Persian) and half Caucasian (Texan). We both love each other's cultures and foods. He speaks some Farsi, Arabic, & other Middle Eastern languages, which he teaches me some. And I speak fluent Indonesian, some Malay, and some Sundanese dialect, which I teach him some, too. We both agree that half breeds are the most beautiful people in the world.

    • Open Insomnia

I've had insomnia for pretty much my whole life. I was a workaholic up until I injured my back in 2004. I always had to have several jobs just to keep me busy. Now, I'm not working do to a combination of medical problems, and always fatigued. I'm always tired but can't get deep sleep do to Fibromyalgia.

      Treatments

      Ambien Working / Worked
have ambien CR. it works great but causes dependency.
      Valerian Working / Worked
doesn't put me to sleep, but deepens sleep once asleep. love it!
    • Open Anger Management

I grew up in a rough country with no child abuse laws and went to militarized schools majority of my childhood where being beaten and whipped was an everyday thing. I joined the US Marine Corps in 2000 and was medically discharged in 05. I never thought that i had anger issues, always assumed violence was a normal thing.

    • Open Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

I've had IBS since 2002. It was alternating between C and D for years until recently. Now over the last year it's been more of a C.

      Treatments

      Aloe Vera Working / Worked
It helps tame a lot of it, most of the time. sometimes doesn't seem to help.
Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
I avoid beef (causes bloating and constipation), mexican food (causes diarrhea), and onions (causes bad gas and cramps)
      Colace Not Working
      did not do anything
      High Fiber Diet Somewhat Helpful
For a while I thought I had beat IBS and rarely had any flare ups, but now i know I was wrong.
      Probiotics Somewhat Helpful
I have to go on antibiotics a lot for kidney problems, probiotics keep things a bit more level.
    • Open Shingles

had shingles on the palm of my R hand back in 2005. I started getting rashes on my lower stomach below belly button but above groin towards the right side near under wear line. Fioricet Not Working
