Close Asperger Syndrome

The journey has been long and hard. My daughter was dx at age 4 as ADHD (seems to be the standard). We knew there was something more but the only help we got was a school telling me I was a bad parent. I had a nervous breakdown and she went to live with my parents. They thought they could do so much and they did get an IEP for her and that helped some as far as school but still no accurate dx. She went into TFC at age 12 where she finally was dx. It has been a struggle ever since.

Treatments

Metadate Somewhat Helpful

It somewhat helps with the focusing but not enough

Abilify Working / Worked

This did decrease her rigidity but not totally helpful. She has gained weight from it

Zoloft Somewhat Helpful

It has decreased some of her anxiety but not enough to give us any relief

Close Autism / Autism Spectrum

My daughter is an 18 year old with the social/mental status of an 11 year old. Frustrating to the limit and our biggest problem was she was dx late not till age 12. I seem to be more angry because society is cruel and so are teenage peers. I don't know what to do anymore. That is why I joined this group because I am SOOOOOO FRUSTRATED and I don't know what to do. I will only be basic here but life is a major struggle on a daily minute by minute cycle with her.
