hello everyone..I am just upset at the moment I guess..I just received a letter from my docs office that said I had my second normal pap...YAHOO...but it also said I still have hpv and I still have to go every three months for monitoring..so does that mean that it is in a dormant stage right now??..

I see no one every answered you here, but I think that if you are still testing positive for HPV, then the virus is not yet dormant again that's why you need to be tested again in three months. When you finally test negative for HPV, then the virus goes back to being dormant. This is not bad news, but still worrisome because of the frequent paps.

Thank You wachit..so its normal to have mormal paps with hpv?? I though maybe I was getting lucky after all of this time and it might be dormant..I guess not..so why are the paps normal??
