I have discovered a wonderful website that I have been actively using, both to give away useable but no longer useful to me items, and to hunt down some things I can use myself. It involves the process of recycling - you can avoid adding to the landfills with your old things and maybe get something you need for free as well. I love it!
So far I have gotten clothing, a brand-new computer mouse, non-perishable food items, silk flowers, jewelry, and a brand-new unused telephone. I have given away to a good home my old coffee pot, coffee grinder, tons of books, cd cases, and workout videos.
It is a great idea and one that I hope catches on, as we learn not only to save a dollar here and there, but to save the environment as well.
