About Me
I'm 50 years old and live in Canada. I am married and have a 23 year old daughter who lives on her own. I work full-time for the City and love what I do. I have been sober for 177 days. Since I've given up alcohol I've joined a local gym and am feeling much better.

Hi Resa - I am Kathy. I see you just joined but have not put any info in your profile or written in your journal yet. That is okay - I didn't the first couple of days after I joined either - I didn't know what to expect. I have found though that as soon as you type in some of your personal info (age, State where you live, married?, kids?, etc), and also info on why you joined D.S., then you will have a lot of friends who will respond to you and try to help. I am only 30 days sober, but it has been a long 30 days. I have made many friends and have found that I really look forward to hearing from several of them. Let us help you - open up to us - I promise I won't judge, I don't have a right to. XO, Kathy

Close Hysterectomy
I had a vaginal hysterctomy Jan 7 and am feeling pretty good all things considered. I still have one ovary but have noticed I'm sweating at night, I guess it'll take some time for it to 'kick in' and take over for what's missing. I had pre cancerous cells and horrible, heavy periods and it was decided a hyst. would be best for me. So far, so good. I didn't have much pain and was only in the hosp. overnight. How long do you have to wait to drive?
