Hello, I am also new to the site. I know alot of pain one can get is gas pains, Sometimes I do good for awhile then like today I feel bloated and in pain, Must have not eaten enough fiber. Seems when one has fibro it makes the pains even worse, I had a rheuomologist tell me, that fibro just magnifies the pain 100 times, he is right. If you need to talk or vent I am here. Close Diverticulitis
One week ago, after 3 days of intense pain, I went to the ER. They performed bloodwork, CT scan, etc. and diagnosed acute diverticulitis. Treatment was Augmentin (allergy to Cipro)- my internist supplemented with Flagyl 2 days later and made me promise to drive 50 miles to a bigger hosp. if symptoms return. I'm on day 6 of 10 days rest wth another Dr. appt. on day 11. I had no symptoms but pain on lower left side. I'm not sure I completely understand the severity or the possibilities. Scary!
