My name is Carrie. I am 29 years old. I am a military spouse of almost 9 years, my husband has been in for 13. We are currently stationed at Fort Drum in upstate NY. I ahve two children, ages 2 and 4.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI am 29 years old, and the mom of two kids, ages 2 and 4. My husband is in the Army and we have been married for almost 9 years. I have struggled with depression since I was a teenager.
Treatments
- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- This was the 1st medication I was prescibed. Seemed to work somewhat, but still had episodes of depression.
- Lexapro Somewhat Helpful
- Seemed to work as well as Celexa. I was switched to this when we moved to Germany, because the military pharmacy did not carry Celexa.
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- Good to talk about problems with an unbiased person, but I did not feel a "connection", so I slowly stopped going.
- Zoloft Somewhat Helpful
- Not really sure if this helped or not. Was prescibed this at our current duty station in NY.

- Used topically. Helped some.

I really don't handle stress well. Sometimes I'll just break down, other times start yelling, or freak out.
Open Molluscum Contagiosum
My son (4 yrs)has molluscum contagiosum in patches on his arms, legs, back and now his neck and groin areas. My daughter (2 yrs) has also been infected on her legs and diaper area.
