About Me
I'm a pre-med Psychobiology major at Binghamton University- an appropriate course of study for someone with FMS. I love writing, singing, reading, and lots of other stuff, especially music. And I'm a reality tv junkie... like Jon&Kate+8.

Close Fibromyalgia
In high school I realized it was FMS with the fatigue, body pain and depression; it was never a big enough problem to prevent me from functioning until i was a junior in college. Anxiety took over and I couldn't work, then nausea took over and I couldn't eat that much without alternative medicine. I've come a long way and have much further to go...
Treatments
- Effexor Somewhat Helpful
- Really amazing stuff... but my restless legs weren't happy. The MDs put my dose too high and I wanted to kill myself. But in a low dose like 75mg/day, it can be really helpful for pain.
- Guaifenesin Working / Worked
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- Apparently I'm bi-polar too? This is an alternative to antidepressants, because they made me suicidal.
- Prozac Not Working
- Side effect HELL. Nausea, suicidal thoughts, trouble sleeping. It didn't work.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Helped my depression but eventually my symptoms overtook the effects of the medication.
- Compazine Working / Worked
- Great for nausea.
- Clonazepam Somewhat Helpful
- I took it for a few days as directed, then didn't feel the need to take it and I felt awful. The withdrawal from it was from only a short -term dose and caused an exacerbation of FMS symptoms. BUT- GREAT for panic attacks.
