Well im now 17 weeks and 5 days. On satuarday i will be 18 weeks and exactly half way through the pregnancy.

This second trimester so far has been a little easier. I lost the morning sickness and the tiredness faded away. I feel more like myself and less like death warmed up..lol

I do seem to be suffering from bad heartburn though and getting alot of back ache. Im also finding it harder to get comfortable in bed at night. Ive put this down to my bed being terrible and extremely uncomfortable. I have a new bed arriving today so hopefull that will help. If not then i think i will look into buying a maternity pillow to support me at night.

Had a midwife appointment yesterday and all was well. Shes happy that the baby is doing well. I didnt get to hear the babys heart beat as i had hoped as she was rushed between appointments and had left the heart beat listener at the other clinic. Me and partner was a bit dissapointed about this but hopefully it wont be too long before we finally hear our babys heart beat.

Ive started to feel the baby move. It started out with the feeling of a bubble popping inside. It then turned to more like flutters but last night i was laying on my belly and it really did feel like and baby moving and it felt so strong. Its just so exciting. cant wait to feel the first kick or punch.

Well thats about it for my update for now.

I had my second scan and i am on scheduel. I was 12 weeks 5 days which was exactly right since last scan i had. Its amazing how much the baby had grown in just two weeks. Its gone from looking like a bean to looking like a baby. The baby is lovely and healthy. It was very stubborn though as she was trying to get a lovely pic for me but it just wasnt having any of it..lol. I also had the downsyndrome checked and all seems fine. So a very good day that was.

Unfortunately the next day wasnt so great. I ended up waking feeling sick, dizzy, lightheaded, shaky and altogether wierd. It went on all day and in the end i called the NHS helpline who then got a doctor to ring me. After talking to the doctor she told me to cxome down to the hospital to be checked out. Luckly it turned out to be just a urine infection and i was getting wierd symptoms because im pregnant. Im not on a weeks course or antibiotics to clear it up.

Today i am 13 weeks and 4 days pregnant

Well i had my first scan the other week and instead of being the 12 weeks as predicted i was 10 weeks and 5 days. The baby was doing well and very fidgity. Also had a nice heartbeat which was great. I got a photo of our baby and its just so amazing. Today i am exactly 12 weeks pregnant.

On thursday i have another scan as i was too early before for them to do anything. So on thursday i will get another picture and i should then be 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant if all has been predicted well. Im so excited and cant wait for the scan.

My bump is showing really quite big for such an early stage. Its amazing. The morning sickness has gone but im still tired all the time and suffering with heartburn. Other then that all is well
