I was purposely infected by my daughter's father, and tested positive 2 years ago. Thank God I found out early. I am not on meds yet, hope to never have to be. My daughter is 4 now and is my world, I live for her.

I read your profile and I wanted to let you know that I am proud of you for reaching out to your friends and family. What your ex did was a horrible shame, but YOU don't have to be ashamed. You are stronger than you realize.

Good for you for telling someone. Dealing with things like this by yourself can only make things worse. I remember like yesterday the day that my daddy told me he was infected. Never for a moment did I stop loving him. I only dove in to try and learn about the disease. I feel that I truly learned the meaning of unconditional love at that moment. I love my daddy very much. As I'm sure your mom and family love you. Hang in there. Good luck to you.

THANKS FOR THE HUG! IT REALLY MEANT ALOT TO ME! I KNOW YOU HAVE ALOT ON YOU PLATE AND WE ARE BOTH SO YOUNG AND LIKE MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A DEATH SENTENCE. 5 YEARS AGO I WAS SO SICK THAT I WAS ABOUT TO DIE. TODAY I AM REALATIVELY HEALTHY. I STILL HAVE TO WORK THROUGH SOME OF MY PERSONAL ISSUES (DEPRESSION & ANXIETY & MY FEAR OF DEATH) BUT I HAVE LEARNED TO TAKE TI ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!
