Prayers have been answered!! Got the call this morning that my son, Ryan has been granted parole on Feb 2, 2010!!! After serving over 2 years this time. 14 mos prior! All for drug charges!! He seems more determined this time. Let's pray he stays clean, sober and honest this time! My heart can't take another round of this! But today is a good day! Joy is again in my life! I am a blessed woman!

Hi MotherT! We here at DS are always willing to "listen" and give encouragement. Can't tell you what you need to do, because only you know what is best. Our lives are all similar in the fact that we have kids who are addicts or recovering addicts. My 17 yr old is now clean for 16 months and I am so thankful I still have her!!! She's young, but lost so much from 14 on. She's doing great right now and I wish you strength to get through your struggles. Hugs, D.

Rob, Chris and I are holding our own. No 2 days are alike here. Never know from day to day, sometimes hour to hour, what surprises Rob is going to give us. On a never ending rollercoaster ride caring for him. Wish things were different. They are getting so close to finding a possible cure for ALS but, it is coming too late for us. I take peace of mind knowing that there is a good chance that other families won't have to go through this hell that we are going through.
As I told you before, I love the new hair style on you. I get in a phase where I have to do something new to feel better about myself. Hang in there, take care and thanks again for caring!

Have a 23 year old son, Heroin addict serving 1-15 years in prision, and a 18 year old daughter struggling with Heroin use. I never saw this coming. Thought I was close to my kids and would have seen the signs.
